This blog was created to give CES students information about the YWP prompts. Students from CES may submit their writing here to get feedback from their peers and when they are ready, may turn it over for submission to the YWP site.
The YWP web site, www.youngwritersproject.org, where registered students post writing, respond to prompts, receive and give respectful feedback, read tips on writing, post audio stories, engage in online workshops and discuss books, news and life.
What the "Deadline" means
Because submissions are due to be posted at youngwritersproject.org by Friday at 3pm:
-Handwritten submissions due to Ms. Sexton or Mrs. Dinnan by Thursday at 3pm.
-Blogged submissions posted to site by Friday at 2:30pm.

Unlucky

Grade 5
Once I went on a camping trip. When we set up the camper, I went with my some of my friends. We played pirates around the fireplace. Our parents told us not to, but we did not listen. When I was sword fighting, I lost my balance and fell right into the fire, but I was lucky because I only hit the hot ring of metal around the fire. When I got up my leg felt a stinging pain, so did my hands. Only if I listen to them and I would have never got burnt. That was the unluckiest day of my life.

Grate you picked this! on my favorite movie clad the Matrix Reloaded on my favorite battle agents smith, smith made at least 100,000 of him selves and that was all action packed Neo still won agents a lot of smiths cant believe Neo still won.

On April first of this month, my teacher had the worst prank ever, not like it didn't work, but it was ,mean! We had a morning message saying that my teacher had an announcement to make. All through math class, I wondered what the big announcement was. Then language arts class finally came, when Ms.Sexton planned to make her announcement.
ReplyDelete"Alright class, come to the circle. If you read the message, you would know that I have an announcement to make." she told us. "In case you didn't know, I had a big dinner last night." she explained. Then she put her hand out to show us the glistening ring on her finger.
"Oh my god!" our class shreiked.
"That's the good news. Now the bad news is that I have to move...to California, where my fiance lives." she explained. Then the class grew silent, jaws dropped, and two girls bursted in tears.
"April fools!" Ms.Sexton yelled, and we halfway beleived her. Ms.Sexton, that was one mean and dirty trick!

One day I was talking to a boy he was cut up he was about 5 he said his name was Nick. I’m surprised I still remember but it is hard to forget. I was playing at the play ground with my cousins William and Frances. William was playing with my sister and Frances was with me we where playing a game and a little boy named nick came and asked to play we said yes but this little boy was 5 and not usual he was all alone and I mean he had dirt and scratches all over him but the weird thing about him was when I turned around he was gone no sight of him no tracks left behind and a mysterious sound. That boy is a mystery and I don’t think I will ever find out.

ReplyDeleteLately my head is filled with things I don’t want to hear. People yelling things in my ear that I don’t care about. If only I could make all the unimportant things go in one ear and come out the other. My life would be so perfect. There would be no gossip, no secrets, and no problems.
Bowling
ReplyDeleteEvery Saturday, I bowl on a league. My team is called “Dallas Cowboys.” I bowl with Michael, Francis, and Justin. Guess what my highest score is? 144. My lowest score is? 80 My average is 101. I have been bowling since I was 3 years old. I love bowling because it is so much fun and I get to see my friends.

There’s nothing to be fear of but fear itself
ReplyDeleteI was at school and I herd odd noises coming from the room next to mine. That’s
the room everyone says not to go into. I thought to myself “I’ll go into the room
to see if there’s anything in there. So when the bell rang, everyone went to lunch
but I went to the door of the room. I slowly opened the door with a creek. It was
very dark, creepy and cold. I walked very carefully across the room as I listened to the creaks and snaps. It was so dark I had to feel myself around! I got to the wall I feet it for the light switch. I found it and ready to face what was in here ready to see the evil thing, I turned on the light, looked around and inside was nothing
