This blog was created to give CES students information about the YWP prompts. Students from CES may submit their writing here to get feedback from their peers and when they are ready, may turn it over for submission to the YWP site.
The YWP web site, www.youngwritersproject.org, where registered students post writing, respond to prompts, receive and give respectful feedback, read tips on writing, post audio stories, engage in online workshops and discuss books, news and life.

ReplyDeleteLatley I've been struggling with paying attention in class. It is hard for me to pay attention because I am easily distracted. I usually don't pay attention in math because I draw or put my attention on something else without realizing it.

ReplyDeleteIve been struggling with Social Studies.I've been struggling with this because I have a hard time paying attention. I feel that I have benn too focused too much on talking with friends and losing track on what I am doing. I think that I have not been studying enough for tests and haven't been listening to the teacher enough. I think I can resolve this problem by, getting more sleep, eating better breakfasts, studying for tests more often, and paying attention better. If I do all of those things, I can be as smart as I should be. By next year, I could be getting a GREAT report card!
A big struggle!

I hate to say it but, “lately I’ve been struggling with” paying attention in class. I don’t get it, one minute I will be determined to stay on track, but then the next I will find myself fiddling with a pen, or even lip talking across the room. I haven’t found out why I can’t just keep my eyes on the board and listen to my teacher once in a while. The hard thing is there are sixteen people just waiting for you to find something to talk about. I guess I will find out how bad I am at not staying focus because the report card never lies.

ReplyDeleteLately I have been struggling with... forgetting what I was about to say or do. I was just about to write something really good, but I forgot! So now I am just writing about what I have been forgetting!
ReplyDeleteLately I've been struggling with keeping my room clean. You never know what you'll find in there. It's a combination of lip gloss, beads, clean and dirty clothes, books, and just about everything else you can imagine, other than food and drinks. I'm not allowed to have food in my room and the only drink that I can have up there is water. It is probably a good thing that I'm not allowed to have those things up in my room because there would probably be pretzels smooshed into the carpet, orange peels in my art box, apple peels and cores EVERYWHERE, and other foods, probably more in my room than in me! My sister's room is right next to mine, not even separated by a door, and when you walk up the stairs into her room, it's clean. And trust me, you can tell where my room starts! There should be a sign in my room saying "Caution, Everything Everywhere!" So far, all of my friends who might think about entering my room, beware- it's DANGEROUS!
